We currently have an opportunity for an Account Executive in our Commercial Risk department.  The position will provide insurance and risk management solutions to clients and prospects to proactively meet and exceed client needs.  This role involves sales through an established marketing process to maintain strong relationships with clients, prospects and carriers.

Additional duties of the Account Executive include serving as a goodwill ambassador in the community with current clients, identifying latest trends in the insurance marketplace best suited for the specific needs of the clients, and developing client and carrier relationships to provide best outcomes.  The position will also coordinate a strategic sales and action plan, and implement Ollis Edge 360 business model with clear goals and objectives to increase retention and client satisfaction consistent with agency mission and vision.  

The role will review and communicate renewal calculations and utilization, make policy placement decisions, provide detailed information for applications of coverage, attend meetings and seminars to maintain knowledge of industry, negotiate coverage levels and premiums to provide optimum coverage levels for clients, and communicate effectively and courteously to clients and vendors.  

The Account Executive position requires a minimum of five (5) years of insurance industry experience in account management, consulting, and/or sales preferably working with large clients.  A Missouri Producer Insurance License is required with industry specific certifications preferred.  A valid driver’s license with a good driving record is also required.

Position Description

We currently have an opportunity for an Account Manager in our Personal Lines Department.  This position is responsible for providing exceptional service and support of current and prospective clients, carriers, team members and Advisors.  

Additional duties may include:

  • Provide excellence in customer service to existing and prospective client base as well as internal staff.
  • Take new business call-ins and requests and make referrals to appropriate departments.
  • Determine if desired coverage fits with Ollis/Akers/Arney carriers.
  • Present quotes and proposals to clients.
  • Review client coverage levels and policies to ensure they meet client needs, agency standards, and standards of the companies represented; recommend changes as needed.
  • Prepare quotations, proposals, binders, endorsements, and coverage summaries to provide exceptional care to customers.
  • Prepare and submit new business and/or account renewals to carrier marketplace according to established procedures.
  • Order and issue binders, certificates, policies, endorsements, and other related items; verify their accuracy; provide documentation to client with appropriate correspondence.
  • Provide technical support to Advisors to include cross-selling and upgrading opportunities.
  • Prepares quotes, proposals and binders for PL Advisors
  • Perform general office duties including answering phones, making copies, preparing faxes, etc.
  • Follow through on all inquiries, requests, and submissions to ensure timely receipt and response.
  • Maintain and update activity records in agency management system according to current process and procedure (including requesting plan documents from carriers & imaging into database).
  • Perform additional duties as requested by Advisor, management or team members.

Position Skills and Requirements

Associate’s degree or equivalent college coursework in business or a related field preferred.  Must be a licensed Missouri Property & Casualty Producer.  Minimum of three years’ work experience in the insurance industry required, preferably in an Account Manager role.  

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, ability to work well independently as well as in a team environment, strong attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task in a paperless environment.

 

We currently have an opportunity for an Associate Account Manager for the Employee Benefits department in our Springfield location.  This position is responsible for providing exceptional service and support of current and prospective clients, carriers, team members and Advisors.  This position requires strong communication skills, ability to work well independently as well as in a team environment, strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task in a paperless environment.

Additional duties may include:

  • Provide excellence in customer service to existing and prospective client base as well as internal staff.
  • General marketing: RR folder creation, updating census requests, fully-insured marketing to carriers, spreadsheet creation/updates, Easy Apps set up/completion, requesting renewals from carriers, renewal paperwork request from group & submission to carriers, implementation paperwork from group to carriers, creation/editing of Employee Benefit Guides for employee meetings and renewing plans in AMS/ImageRight.
  • Prepare quotations, proposals and coverage summaries to provide exceptional care to customers.
  • Prepare and submit coverages, renewals and submissions to carrier marketplace according to established procedures.
  • Follow through on all inquiries, requests, and submissions to ensure timely receipt and response.
  • Verify accuracy of proposals, issued policies/certificates/booklets, as requested.
  • Accurately create and edit Employee Benefit Guides for open enrollment meetings, as requested.
  • Update database with information (including requesting plan documents from carriers & imaging into database).
  • Communicate effectively and courteously to co-workers and vendors via telephone, or in person, when required, regarding benefits, enrollment and service inquiries.
  • Prepare Client Compensation Disclosure documents, as required.
  • Provide online application software assistance, when utilized.
  • Perform general office duties including answering phones, making copies, preparing faxes etc.
  • Maintain and update activity records in agency management system according to current process and procedure (including requesting plan documents from carriers & imaging into database).
  • Perform additional duties as requested by Advisor, management or team members.

Experience:  Associate’s degree or equivalent college coursework in business or a related field preferred.  Two plus years of experience in a professional environment is preferred. Life and Health License Preferred or ability to obtain within the first six months of employment is required.

We currently have an opportunity for a Private Client Benefit Advisor.  This position will provide insurance solutions designed to protect long-term income such as, Life Insurance, Long-Term Care, and Disability, to clients and prospects to proactively meet and exceed client needs.  This position will also assist the Senior Products department with Medicare supplement insurance solutions.  The role involves sales through established marketing process requiring development and maintenance of strong relationships with clients, prospects and carriers. 

Additional duties of the Private Client Benefit Advisor include serving as a goodwill ambassador in the community with current clients, identifying latest trends in the insurance marketplace best suited for the specific needs of the clients, and developing client and carrier relationships to provide best outcomes.  The position will also coordinate a strategic sales and action plan, and implement Ollis Edge 360 business model with clear goals and objectives to increase retention and client satisfaction consistent with agency mission and vision.

The position requires prior sales experience and a Missouri Life and Health Insurance License with industry specific certifications such as AHIP (or willingness to obtain).  Willingness to travel and work varied hours during Medicare Open Enrollment Season to assist the Senior Products department is also required.
