1. What do you like most about your role?
I enjoy being involved in so many different areas including employee engagement and recognition, client relationships and education, and assisting with new connections for our organization.
2. How do you think being in an ESOP affects work culture?
We just had a powerful 3rd quarter all employee-owner meeting and it included fantastic information about the current state of our organization along with lots of celebration. Our team loves to celebrate! Our meetings are never focused on just pushing information out. The primary focus is to facilitate conversation and seek input from our employee-owners. The questions are always great and our leadership team is phenomenal at inviting participation and providing insight as to what’s going on at the innermost parts of our company. The trust level that has to be in place to be that candid with your team is what provides the framework for how our overall culture works. Trust, transparency, and knowing that you have a voice in the decisions all contribute to a very healthy and dynamic culture.
3. What is something you would share with a friend about working in an ESOP?
It has been one of the most rewarding seasons in my career. I have always been a huge believer in an open-book management philosophy and participating in an ESOP takes that to a whole new level. Standing shoulder to shoulder with teammates who share many of the same goals and a common vision for their futures is an experience I will treasure for my lifetime.
4. What is your favorite thing about fall?
Fall is my favorite season. I love the sweaters, the colors on the trees, and knowing the holidays are just around the corner!
